Strategy in Action
Strategy as a discipline took root in military action. Ironically, the original Bible on the subject, The Art of War, devoted the bulk of its pages to avoiding war. The contemporary tradeoffs in building a sound business strategy have spawned a whole new profession – management consulting.
This is where I note my observations and insights on what everyday interactions between customers and products or services can tell us about the strategy of corporations, whether stated or not.
